Alex Kidd in Miracle World 2 & 3 Sequels released!

I really want to create a Alex Kidd series tribute page (along with a Wonder Boy series page too!) at Blake’s Sanctum one day as they were the first games I owned on my Sega Master system in the early 1990s so I have a huge soft spot for them.

As a result over the last few years I’ve become particularly interested in new homebrew games for classic consoles and ones that relates to these great old series. This includes where people do complicated rom hacks to completely convert an original game into something different.

For example a few years back someone created a true sequel to Alex Kidd in Miracle World (as many didn’t like the SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive sequel that was hard to play & ignored story elements of the original). This fan sequel rom hack was so popular that physical copies with manuals and posters started appearing around the net and I couldn’t resist collecting one. Playing it on a real master system is an absolute joy!

Well now I’m so excited as fans have once again created another sequel!! Alex Kidd in Miracle World 3 will be released very soon and looks absolutely amazing. Some of those level backgrounds really push the limits of the master system and the music sounds awesome! They’ve also pushed more even colours and details into Alex Kidd himself and the creatures around him.

All Full Length Walking Dead & Fear The Walking Dead Webisodes

Hey guys,

I’ve finally been slowly making my way through all the seasons of The Walking Dead and Fear The Walking Dead and recently heard about all the webisodes out there. As expected they’ll not easily accessible in one place so I thought I’d go hunting for full complete combined episodes (instead of the broken up parts) and put them ALL here for easy viewing! I’ll try to keep this up to date if they do more or if hosts change. AMC regularly take down these compilations (as they selfishly expect people to use their own 50+ broken up scattered region locked copies that don’t work for many) so just let me know in the comments if something goes down. Although as time goes by it’s getting harder and harder to find new copies!

The Walking Dead: Torn Apart (2011)

The first 6 episode series that aired between season 1 & 2 of TWD and tells the origin story of Hannah, also known as “Bicycle Girl”, the walker that Rick Grimes killed out of mercy and whose bicycle he took in the first episode of Season 1.

Starpoint Gemini 3 (Freelancer Like Game)

Wow! Been given a great tip off from a member of the Freelancer Facebook group. If the recent release of Rebel Galaxy Outlaw wasn’t cool enough it now looks like we’ve got another game very similar to the mighty classic Freelancer. The previous Starpoint Gemini games were sort of Freelancer like but involved capital ship combat whereas this new Starpoint Gemini 3 game is very Freelancer like with Fighter based play and landing on planets and space stations with seedy space bars! It also has an interesting side game where you take control of a small probe infiltrating derelicts and space stations avoiding security systems that sort of reminds me of some of X2 – The Threat’s side missions. The game is still in early access on steam so naturally it lacks polish but is already looking absolutely gorgeous!! The only fault I have with its otherwise stunning graphics are the very plastic mannequin like people but apparently the devs have said they’ll be fixing that.
